Maddy's Gentle Touch

Maddy cracks me up, because Maddy is Maddy.

She is not so gentle with her loves, hugs, squeezes, lifting of, feeding, and the burping of her baby brother. All of which are supervised, but regardless she tends to get great squeeky noises out of her brother and occassionally a shrill scream or two. I'm debating whether she doesn't know her own strength or if she does know, and just knows we can't really tell how hard she is squeezing until the deed is done. So now her supervised attention has been cut a bit. And she isn't left alone in the same room with him. =) Too much love can be a bad thing in this case.

As we have found she LOVES her baby brother, and hasn't seemed to resent him one bit, that is until he started taking Grandma's attention off of Maddy. Her first sign of jealousy came when Gram came up last week for a few days while Gpa was in Japan. Gram had just laid baby Preston on a blanket on the floor to go into the kitchen for something and when she came back she found Maddy by Preston with a blanket placed completely over Preston and Maddy said, "Look, the baby is gone!" Poor Preston. She does not seem to care one bit when I am the only one home with Preston, but put Gma in the mix and she is not ready to share.
